Elk County includes Elk Falls, Grenola, Howard, Longton and Moline.  The County seat is located in Howard and has been since 1875. According to the U.S. Census Bureau in 2008 the population of Elk County was 3,047.  This small rural county is known as a wonderful and safe place to raise a family.
